Bella is the cutest golden Peke that
you will ever meet. She is only 4 yrs old which, by Peke standards,
makes her a young adult as this is a breed that lives up to 17 yrs.
Bella arrived with her brother Buddy from a shelter in rural WV and
is currently in a foster home in the DC area. His foster mom is simply
in love with both of them says they have a great personality.
Bella loves the company of people and her brother Buddy. She is
definitely a lap doggie and doesn’t lose any opportunity to
ask for back rubs. She loves to be brushed, especially since we had
to give her a very short haircut as her skin was suffering from innumerable
bug bites. She still has scabs on he back and belly but her foster
mom is making sure she is recovering well. She is crate trained and
although she didn’t have any accidents in the foster mom’s
home, she will go through an adjustment period when she will move
to her permanent home when accidents are possible. But, as an adult
dog, she should learn the rules of the house very fast and all she
needs is a little guidance in the beginning. She is good with the
other dogs in the foster home, but can be at times food possessive
and when introduced to any new dogs; she should be fed separately
or in the crate. Training would be very helpful as food aggression
is not a terribly difficult behavior to change. Even more, going
to obedience school is a wonderful way to bond with your new dog.
Attitude towards cats is unknown as there aren't any in his foster
home. Buddy and Bella have bonded with each other and they would
love to stay together but they can also be adopted separately. Please
consider giving Bella the home she so much deserves! Thank you! :-)
The adoption fee for this dog is $280, which includes
the cost of transport and routine vetting, including vaccinations
and spay/neuter
