Hardy is a very sweet and cooperative 1.5-2 yr. old Pekingese. He loves all people. While he enjoys playing with, and being in the yard with, other little dogs he does show a bit of jealousy when he's in my lap and another little dogs approaches. We are working on that.
Hardy wants to go with you wherever you go and behaves well with people. Everyone at the vet's office really loves him because of his sweet disposition and “little man” attitude. He really knows how to charm the ladies. However, he's not so charming with the cats and likes to chase them whenever given a chance.
Hardy has just completed his last treatment for heartworms and can be neutered in December. Such a shame - all that would have kept him from the dangerous and potentially deadly treatments is an inexpensive heartworm pill once a month. The treatments were very expensive, so any donations for Hardy's care would be very much appreciated by him!
Hardy is being fostered in Chapel Hill, NC and his asking adoption fee is $300.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
