Hi everyone!! I'm Niko, an 8 yr old male Peke with a slender athletic body type, who loves going for walks, riding in the car, and basking in the sun...oh, and I have gorgeous brunette hair, with fabulous caramel and golden highlights. I am 14lbs of a-dor-a-ble, if I do say so myself!
As you can see, I only have one eye. It was taken out by my previous owner's poodle, so needless to say I'm not very tolerant of big dogs and while I do ok with other little dogs, I'm still leery when they get to frisky with me so I would prefer a home as an only dog. I am very well
adjusted to life with only one eye and it never stops me from getting around and being active.
My foster mom says I would make a perfectly loyal and loving companion for the right person. I am crate trained and house trained and will let you know when I want to go outside. My foster mom lets me sleep in the bed with her and I can go all night with no accidents. In fact, I hardly
even make a peep.
I am current on all of my shots, neutered, heartworm negative, and on flea and heartworm meds.
I have been waiting a long time for my perfect companion!
Niko is being fostered in Newport News, VA and his asking adoption fee
is $150.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
